How I Recovered From an Eating Disorder I Didn’t Think Was Real

Towards the end of my senior year of high school, I developed an unhealthy relationship with my body and my food. It was hard for me to wrap my head around calling these thoughts a "problem" though, since my behavior didn't meet the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) standards for any one disorder. I thought it was time I share my story in an attempt to say "Hey! It's okay, me too." to everyone else who's gone/is going through any kind of similar experience.

This Is What It’s Really Like to Audition for 'The Bachelor'

I am a huge fan of everything Bachelor-related: Bachelorette, Paradise, Winter Games— you name it and I’ll tune in every week in hopes for some Ben Higgins screen time. My friend and coworker Lindsey, while not being averse to reality TV, has never quite understood my fascination. Lindsey and I actually first bonded over dating apps and relationship advice, so it makes some sort of sense that, to celebrate 18 months of friendship, we’d audition for the Bachelor together.
